WELCOME TO OUR CHURCH We are a small church with a big mission. The Presbyterian Church of Oronoco is a community of believers whose mission is to share God's Word, show God's Love, serve God's World and strive for God's Peace. We are a church home. No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here. We welcome you to come and worship with us on Sunday morning and to participate in the activities our congregation has to offer. Check out the events section for upcoming programs. We look forward to meeting you. We have been in ecumenical partnership with the First Congregational United Church of Christ at Zumbrota since 1957. Oronoco is the "O" and Zumbrota the "Z" in this partnership we call "The OZ Churches." Highway 52 is the Yellow Brick Road that connects our faith journeys, but also leads us out into the world for outreach and educational activities. We share a pastor, use the same service and hymnal and offer joint programming. We share each others joys and concerns. In short, we are family. We at the Presbyterian Church of Oronoco place an emphasis on outreach ministries to our community, to the region and the world. Examples of programs we work to support: · Food Shelf of Oronoco (in partnership with Channel One and supported by Oronoco residents and businesses.) · Pine Island Area Home Services ( A Living at Home Block Nurse Program for elder residents of Pine Island and Oronoco) · Habitat for Humanity of Goodhue County · Dorothy Day House · Ronald McDonald House · Birthday parties & worship services for nursing home residents of Pine Island and Zumbrota · Local, national and international disaster relief (Hurricane Katrina, Haiti earthquake, Olmsted and Wabasha County flood relief) · Annual Peace Camp for children · Women's Shelter · Handicap accessibility: building access, large print bulletins and audio amplification.
